Downloading & Installation

The following instructions are for downloading JavaScript OSA for MacOS 8, MacOS 9 and MacOS X systems.

Installation Under MacOS X 10.3.9 and later

  Download version 2.0.1 (1MB - Universal Binary)
  

Quit any applications that make use of OSA scripting systems (e.g. Script Editor, Script Debugger). Copy the "JavaScript.component" file to the Library/Components folder in your home directory (create the Components folder if it does not already exist).

Installation Under MacOS 8.x & 9.x

  Download version 1.0.3 (1MB - PowerPC)
  You'll need StuffIt Expander 5 (or later) to expand this archive

Copy the "JavaScript" file to the Extensions folder within your System Folder and reboot your Macintosh.
